Bio: Minami Kikuchi, originally from Yokohama, Japan, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and began her journey at Lufairy Ballet before focusing on modern and contemporary dance. After choreographing her first piece at 15, she continued her creative work in the U.S., where her piece "Invisible Things" premiered at the American College Dance Association Conference and "BODY" was recognized at the Modern American Dance Company's Dare to Dance Festival. Minami is joining the Urbanity Dance faculty for the 2024-2025 season and has been selected for a choreographer residency by the Rhode Island Women Choreography Project.
