Olivia Link

A native Bostonian, Olivia Link began her dance training in high school at the Boston Arts Academy public high school for the visual and performing arts (class valedictorian, 2015). There, she found her passion for dance; having opportunities to perform on mainstage venues such as the Shubert Theater and travel to Cape Town, South Africa for training. She continued her pursuit for her artform in college as a BFA student at George Mason University’s School of Dance (summa cum laude, 2019). 

Olivia received Mason School of Dance’s Excellence in Choreography award upon graduating and was selected to present choreography at the American College Dance Association. In 2020, she was a commissioned artist for the Metropolitan Area Planning Council's Small Steps: Dances of Resilience (Finalist, Prague International Monthly Film Festival; Semi-Finalist DUMBO Film Festival; Semi-Finalist NYCA; Offical Selection Amsterdam World International Film Festival). Olivia accredits her explorative creative methods to working extensively with Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv, Israel under the direction of Ohad Naharin.

She has interned for renowned arts institutions including Jacob’s Pillow, Boston Ballet, Batsheva Dance Company, and Boston Arts Academy. Olivia has a minor in kinesiology and her academic research has been published in Mason’s undergraduate research journal, the GMU Review (2019) and also presented at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science's annual conference in Montreal, Quebec (2019). The second iteration of this research has been selected for IADMS's 2021 conference in Denver, Colorado.
